Brian Andrew Hose (born 1993 in Boulder, Colorado, USA) is a screenwriter and director currently based in Berlin, where he is studying Narrative Film at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) under Prof. Thomas Arslan. His work often focuses on themes such as societal pressure, shaming culture, and LGBTQ+ experiences, with a particular interest in youth narratives. Notable projects include the short films "Just Boys" (2018) and "Physical Education" (2019), as well as the video installation "Transisting" (2022), which portrays and reflects on non-binary identity.
Brian’s films have been showcased at festivals such as the Max Ophüls Prize and the Independent Film Festival Osnabrück. He is currently developing a road movie that continues his exploration of themes like movement, change, and belonging. His narrative approach is characterized by a strong visual language and a desire to tell personal, transformative stories.
